About Southern California e-Business Forum
SCEBF formed in 1991 as the Southern California EDI Roundtable (affectionately known as SCEDIR). It was the first EDI User Group in Southern California. The group met to discuss EDI and related technologies such as UPC bar codes and shipping container labels. As the industry matured and new technologies came into practice, such as XML for data and RFID tags for container and item marking, the technology focus of the group expanded. With the expanded focus of the organization, a name change to Southern California e-Business Forum went into effect. Over the years, the group has used acronyms SCEDIR, SCEBIZ4M and SCEBF. |
The Southern California e-Business Forum is a cross-industry group of professionals who promote EDI and other electronic commerce tools, techniques and strategies, and the free exchange of related information. Formed in 1991 our membership has been quite diverse with representatives from manufacturers, defense contractors, financial institutions, health care providers, small companies, large businesses, EDI suppliers and consultants.
Luncheon meetings are held quarterly at locations within Los Angeles County. At SCEBF meetings you'll have the opportunity to meet other EDI users, learn about new developments in EDI, and share your experiences with other members.
Next Meeting date is June 4, 2013.
